Την Κυριακή, ξυπνώντας, ήθελα να κάτσω σπίτι. Είχε προηγηθεί ένα σαββατόβραδο στην Αμβέρσα, που αρχικά βαριόμουν να πάω, αλλά υπέκυψα στην ψυχολογική πίεση που μου ασκήθηκε.. Τελικά έπεσε πρόταση για καφέ, στο Cook & Book μου 'πανε. Εγώ δεν το 'ξερα, οι άλλοι ανίδεοι.
Έπαθα σοκ. Κανονικά. Το τι αντίκρυσα δε μπορώ να το περιγράψω με λόγια, με τη βοήθεια φωτό, θα το προσπαθήσω. Τέτοιοι χώροι είναι που με κάνουν να θέλω να ζήσω εδώ.
Ας αρχίσουμε με τα βασικά. Το C&B είναι δίπλα στο εμπορικό Woluwe και στεγάζεται στο ισόγειο ενός νεοοικοδομημένου συγκροτήματος, πολύ μεγάλο, το 1/3 του οποίου είναι αυτό: 
Δεν είναι βιβλιοπωλείο, δεν είναι εστιατόριο, δεν είναι καφέ, δεν είναι χώρος πολιτισμού, δεν είναι wow διακοσμημένο. Είναι όλα αυτά μαζί και παραπάνω. Μπαίνοντας, είναι το comics & manga section (δυστυχώς στα γαλλικά), με ποικιλία που σε ζαλίζει, στο κέντρο του οποίου υπάρχουν μεγάλα ορθογώνια τραπέζια για καφέ και διάβασμα.
Οι χώροι όλοι συνδέονται σειριακά μεταξύ τους, οπότε στη συνέχεια είναι το 1ο εστιατόριο/καφέ
με την εξής λεπτομέρεια στα φωτιστικά πάνω από το τραπέζι-καθρέφτη
και ναι, είναι μπουκάλια Campari!! Τέλειο;
Κάπου εδώ καθήσαμε να κορέσουμε την πείνα μας με μεταξύ άλλων κεφτεδάκια με σάλτσα συνοδευόμενα από παραδοσιακές frites (τηγανητές πατάτες, η εθνική σπεσιαλιτέ των Βέλγων-τί να πεις), ζυμαρικά με λαχανικά και πέστο, φιλέτο, και αυτή τη σαλάτα με κατσικίσιο τυρί και σως μέλι-μπαλσάμικο tres bien
Πάθαμε ομαδική πλάκα με αυτόν το χώρο, από την οροφή του οποίου είναι δεμένα εκατοντάδες βιβλία!
Στον ίδιο χώρο υπάρχει μπαρ, μικρές γωνιές όπου πωλούνται σαμπάνιες moet με swarovski (250 ευρώ παρακαλώ), σοκολάτες marcolini (άκουσα τα καλύτερα), μαρμελάδες οργανικής φύσεως, ρολόγια κλπ
